The Masons have had a tremendous hand in developing this country by being at the head of most political organizations, and they still do. George Washington (A) was a Mason from 1732 until his death, originally belong to the Fredericksburg, Virginia Lodge.

Around 1911, the idea to construct a Masonic memorial for Washington was begun in Alexandria, Virginia. Construction on the project was finally completed in 1978, after almost 70 years since the inception.
The building is over 9 stories tall and houses this bronze statue of Washington in the garb of his Masonic apron in the rotunda.
James Hoban (A) was also a Mason, who designed most of Washington, D.C., including the Capitol Building.
The tremendous influence the Masons have had on the government of the United States is evidenced by the issuance of the following 1864 private die proprietary stamps, and in stamp cancellations.

The Masons are one of the largest "secret" societies in this country, stemming from it's original charter from the King of England, making them one of the oldest organizations in the world, outside of established government. Albert Pike (A) is considered to be the modern day "father" of Freemasonry. In his book, "Morals and Dogma," it states on page 321 that the Masons worship Lucifer, thereby undermining the Christian foundations that the people of this nation have been lead to believe that is was founded on. Chick Publications stated the same fact.

Pope Pius IX declared in 1862 that there was no Supreme Being which existed distinct from the Universe. In Freemasonry, Nature's God is worshipped as the sun-god. B. O." (A) It has also been researched as being nothing more than a modern-day version of what most ancient religions worshipped the phallus.
